Johnny Depp surprised fans at Disney’s D23 Expo opening day. The popular actor appeared on stage with Disney Studios Chairman, Richard Cook, to announce the fourth Pirates movie, titled “Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides”. The popular actor went onstage on a pirate ship in a nod to his film alter ego Jack Sparrow.

The fourth movie in the Pirates series is expected for a Summer 2011 release.

The D23 Expo continues at the Anaheim Convention Center through September 13.
