'Grey's Anatomy','Castle' and 'Private Practice' renewed by ABC

ABC announced today the renewal of six of their most popular shows, including hits dramas from Shonda Rhimes “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice.” The medical dramas have been an ABC staple for a number of years and Rhimes has a freshman drama airing on ABC entitled “Off The Map.”

Also getting a renewal the next season is the detective drama “Castle.” The series stars Nathan Fillion.

Wednesday night comedies “Modern Family,” “The Middle,” and “Cougar Town” were also renewed.

The announcement came in connection with ABC’s presentations at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena.
