Primetime Emmy Awards 2018: Compete Winners List

“Game of Thrones” picked up the award for Outstanding Drama Series while cast member Peter Dinklage won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. 

The night’s highlights included the opening musical number led by SNL’s Keenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon. 

The surprise proposal by Oscar Telecast director Glen Weiss who proposed to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen during his Emmy acceptance speech. 

The night’s In Memorium segment included a clip of Aretha Franklin’s television performance of “Amazing Grace” while she and those we lost this year were remembered. 

Micheal Che and Colin Jost hosted the SNL heavy show, produced by “Saturday Night Live’s” Lorne Michaels whose SNL picked up the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.
