Grammys 2025: “I LOVE L.A.” Show Openers features Dawes, John Legend, Brad Paisley and More
The Grammy 2025 ceremony honored the people of Los Angeles and the communities affected by recent wildfires in the region, folk rock band Dawes took to the stage with ers Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, and St. Vincent, for a rendition of “I Love L.A.” written by Randy Newman. The ceremony took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Dawes singer Taylor Goldsmith and his brother, drummer Griffin Goldsmith, were both affected by the recent wildfires, with Taylor losing his home studio and much of the band’s musical equipment, and Griffin’s home in Altadena burning down in the Eaton Fire.
Hosted by Trevor Noah, the Grammys recognizes the best in music in more than 95 categories.
Performers at the ceremony include Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, Raye, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, Teddy Swims, Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Cynthia Erivo, Herbie Hancock, Jacob Collier, Janelle Monáe, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent and Stevie Wonder.
