The TCM Classic Film Festival 2025 celebrated legendary actress Michelle Pfeiffer when she had her hand and footprint ceremony placed at the world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Friday, April 25th. Pfeiffer was introduced by actresses Dakota Fanning and her sister Elle Manning who worked with her on her popular films “I am Sam” with Dakota, who was six years old at the time and later on “Maleficent” with Elle.

Pfeiffer spoke highly of the Fanning Sisters who are producing Pfeiffer’s next project. Elle will star with Pfeiffer in the upcoming series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” She will also star in Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” spinoff “Madison.”

“How is it possible that lightning struck twice, that that you could have this much raw talent in one family? It’s just not really fair,” Pfeiffer said during her speech of Dakota and Elle.  “And it’s also very daunting to be intimidated by a six-year-old’s performance. I mean, you know, it’s one thing you’re working with Al Pacino. You’re working with Lawrence Olivier and, you know, but like a six-year-old, it’s pretty humbling. So, oh, actually, this is the third time I’m working with Dakota, because Elle and Dakota are producing the production I am currently shooting in Los Angeles. They are just taking over Hollywood, these two, and they are wicked smart. They are grounded; they are hilarious. They sure know how to dress these two, and they are incredibly kind for coming here to introduce me. I’d say those kind words, thank you.”

The Orange County native speaks of her “So, my junior, my junior year in high school, I took a theater class for the sole purpose of getting some easy English credits, and I caught the bug,” Pfeiffer said.

She also reflected her first job on a Ford commercial, dressed in a red jumpsuit in Malibu, that led to the career she loves. The deeply honored actress continued. “…If you had told me back then in my red terry cloth jumpsuit that I would be here today, I wouldn’t have believed it, but it takes, as we all know, a village, for any actor to make it appear on this stage, and I am so grateful for my village.”

The actress concluded her day at TCM by attending a Q &A and screening of “The Fabulous Baker Boys” which was featured at the festival.

Pfeiffer’s impressive filmography includes “Grease II,” “Batman Returns,” “Scarface,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” “The Fabulous Baker Boys,” and “Love Field,” the latter three for which earned her Academy Award nominations.

The TCM Classic Film Festival continues through Sunday, April 27 with more in-person appearances, George Lucas and “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back,” Rob Reiner and Kathy Bates with “Misery” and “The American President,” and Al Pacino and Michael Mann with “Heat.” The TCM Film Festival 2026 will be announced shortly.
