“American Idol” continued its live show as the Top 8 contestants sang songs from the theme “Ladies Night” on Sunday, May 4.
Miranda Lambert mentored the contestants and performed her hit song “Kerosene.” Host Ryan Seacrest lead the live show along with judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood.

At the end of the night after the live coast to coast vote, Canaan James Hill and Kolbi Jordan were eliminated from the competition. The Top 8 moving on were Gabby Samone, Mattie Pruitt, Thunderstorm Artis, Slater Nalley, Breanna Nix, John Foster, Josh King and Jamal Roberts.
The competition continues on Monday, May 5 when The Top 8 will perform. The Top 6 will be revealed in another live coast-to-coast vote. Voters should check their local listings to see when the show will air in their area.
