“American Idol” continued this week with “Disney Night” celebrating Mother’s Day with special guest mentor Lin-Manuel Miranda. The Top 7 traveled to Disneyland Resort and performed with Disney classics as America voted live for the five contestants moving forward in the competition on Sunday, May 11th. The Top 7 are Breanna Nix, Gabby Samone, John Foster, Jamal Roberts, Mattie Pruitt, Slater Nalley, and Thunderstorm Artis. Each contestants performed two times. First round was a song from a Disney movie and the second was a dedication to a mother for Mother’s Day.

Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were on hand along with host Ryan Seacrest.

At the end of the evening, Mattie Pruitt and Gabby Samone were eliminated from the competition after receiving the lowest number of votes.

The competition continues on Monday, May 12 with The Top 5 contestants performing for Disney night part 2.

The vote will determine which three contestants will compete in the season finale.

“American Idol” airs Sundays and Mondays on ABC.
