‘The Rose: Come Back To Me’: Korean Rock Band Documentary Heads to Tribeca Film Festival 2025
The Tribeca Film Festival 2025 will take place from June 4 to 15 in New York City, and one of the most anticipated movies is the documentary about the Korean band The Rose with “The Rose: Come Back To Me,” a movie premiering at the festival on Friday, June 6.
It’s the same old story, but is it? Four friends get together and form a band. You’ve heard it before from The Beatles, U2, etc. but for “The Rose,” it was different. The Rose, a band from Korea has all the tropes… a band looking to make it big, writing songs, dealing with record companies having a different vision for you, the band has seen it all. In the documentary “The Rose: Come Back to Me,” playing at Tribeca, members Kim Woosung, Park Dojoon, Lee Hajoon and Lee Jaehyeong connect through a love of music and give an intimate look at their journey. With insight into the business of K-Pop and how they were able to come out to a great place. The movie gives an honest look at the band’s challenges to keep the rights to their name and music and to stay together.
