‘Boston Blue’: CBS Drama Starring Donnie Wahlberg Sets Cast
CBS has announced additional cast for the “Boston Blue,” a new drama starring Donnie Wahlberg, for the 2025-2026 broadcast season.
The police procedural drams from the “Blue Bloods” universe expansion, stars Wahlberg will reprise his role as NYPD officer Danny Reagan as he takes a position with Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. Peters is played by Sonequa Martin-Green of “Star Trek” fame. Peters family includes Marcus Scribner, Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson and Gloria Reuben.
Reuben plays Mae Silver, Boston’s District Attorney and the matriarch of a blended family of law enforcement professionals. The widow of a judge who was murdered on the courthouse steps, Mae endeavors to put family ahead of work whenever possible. Her daughter is Lena, and her stepdaughter Sarah (Lawson) is the Police Superintendent. Her son Jonah is a rookie cop; her father is Reverend Peters (Hudson). Mae is accustomed to making decisions and standing by them. Her daughter is Lena, and her stepdaughter Sarah (Lawson) is the Police Superintendent. Her son Jonah (Scribner) is a rookie cop; her father is Reverend Peters (Hudson).
Hudson plays the patriarch of the blended Silver family, Reverend Peters. He is the father of Mae Silver, Boston’s District Attorney, and grandfather/step-grandfather of Det. Lena Silver (Martin-Green), Superintendent Sarah Silver (Lawson), and rookie patrol cop, Jonah Silver.
Lawson will play Sarah Silver, the strong willed and decisive Superintendent in the Boston Police Department who is Lena’s stepsister.
Scribner’s Jonah is the youngest member of the Silver family and is in law enforcement like his mother and sisters — each of whom are formidable in their own ways.
“Boston Blue” will airs in the “Blue Blood” time slot, Fridays at 10 pm ET/PT on CBS.
