FETV (Family Entertainment Television), the home for classic and beloved television series and movies will air the popular crime series “The Rookies” beginning Sunday, July 6. The series, which helped pioneer the popular crime procedurals currently on air, will debut with a  “Red, White, and the Blue” marathon from 9a-3p ET. The show will begin in its regular time slot the following day at 3:15p ET weekdays. As with all series on FETV, “The Rookies” will air in its original, uncut format.

Created by Rita Lakin, “The Rookies'” stars Georg Stanford Brown, Sam Melville, and Michael Ontkean as three rookie officers in the fictional Southern California Police Department. Kate Jackson also stars as Jill Danko, a registered nurse who regularly interacts with the officers in the line of duty. The series aired on ABC from 1972 to 1976 and spawned a spin-off series titled S.W.A.T.
