“America’s Got Talent” returns to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for six weeks of live shows beginning Tuesday, August 19 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC. Results shows will air Wednesday nights beginning August 20 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT).

The first week of live shows will kick off with a star-studded guest performance by multi-platinum selling rock band Def Leppard on August 20.

The live shows will begin with four weeks of quarterfinals before heading into a semifinal round and culminating in an epic two-night finale event. Forty-four acts will perform live for “America’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, Mel B and host Terry Crews. The Live Show Golden Buzzer is back as each week the judges can send one act directly to the finals. America’s vote will then determine which additional three acts will advance to the semifinals.

In the semifinal round, 12 acts will compete and the six acts that receive the most votes from the viewers will then join the four Live Show Golden Buzzers heading to the finals.

New this season, one act will receive a Semifinals Golden Buzzer during the semifinals performance show on September 16, earning a coveted spot in the showstopping two-night finale beginning Sept. 23 and concluding Sept 24.

“AGT’s” milestone 20th season the show has acts ranging from professional artists to aspiring performers, including a funeral director comedian, kid rockstar, A.I. magician and reality TV star, all vying to win America’s hearts and a $1 million prize.

Since campaign kickoff, Season 20 has earned 1.175 billion video views across AGT social accounts and YouTube, highlighting its continued digital dominance.

Throughout the live shows, viewers of “America’s Got Talent” will have a chance to vote for their favorite act at NBC.com/AGTVote and via the “NBC” and “AGT” Apps
