Saturday Night Live” held its live October 18 show with Sabrina Carpenter pulling double duty as host and musical guest. The “Espresso” singer performed many live skits and a few pre-recorded videos to help offset the grind of doing everything live in the 90 minute show. She performed “Manchild” and “Nobody’s Son.” For “Manchild,” Carpenter performed in her bedroom with the set resembling a young girl singing to her favorite song with her hairbrush as her microphone. The band and Sabrina were having a pajama party to the song that has a country/pop sound.

“Manchild” is the lead single on Carpenter’s latest album “Man’s Best Friend.” Carpenter co-wrote and co-produced the. song with Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen.

Carpenter then performed “Nobody’s Son” on a martial arts set with choreography from two dancers performing a martial arts workout.

Next week, “SNL” continues with a new live episode on Saturday, November 1 with host Miles Teller and Brandi Carlile as musical guest.
