‘The 59th Annual CMA Awards’ Host Special Episodes Ahead of Ceremony

“The 59th Annual CMA Awards,” is set to air Wednesday, Nov. 19 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC and streaming next day on Hulu. Lainey Wilson will host. Ahead of the awards, fans can enjoy an all-access lead-up featuring some of their favorite Country stars. Check out the rundown of programs below.

“JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE” — MONDAY, NOV. 17, and TUESDAY, NOV. 18 (11:35 P.M. EST)
Country artist Eric Church performs Monday, Nov. 17, and CMA Award nominee and performer Stephen Wilson Jr. performs Tuesday, Nov. 18.

“CENTER STAGE: COUNTDOWN TO THE CMA AWARDS — SPECIAL EDITION OF 20/20” — TUESDAY, NOV. 18 (10:07-11:00 P.M. EST)
The stars come together to take viewers on a journey through Nashville’s legendary stages — from the neon-lit bars of Broadway to the hallowed circle of the Grand Ole Opry — in a primetime special hosted by country music chart-topper Luke Bryan. Highlights include Billboard’s No. 1 Country Artist of the 21st Century, Kenny Chesney, who brings cameras back to Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway to revisit the venues where he first performed as a young man with dreams of making it big in Music City. Chesney also discusses his new book, “Heart Life Music,” in a heartfelt interview about his life and musical journey. In addition, country music stars Lauren Alaina, Gabby Barrett, Dan + Shay and Russell Dickerson gather to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry, and a look at this year’s CMA Award-nominated Musical Event of the Year collaborations, including Blake Shelton with Post MaloneCarrie Underwood with Cody Johnson and Ella Langley with Riley Green. Additional appearances include Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Ashley McBryde and Keith Urban.

“GOOD MORNING AMERICA” — WEDNESDAY, NOV. 19, AND THURSDAY, NOV. 20 (7:00-9:00 A.M. LOCAL)
“Good Morning America” will bring special CMA Awards coverage with Lara Spencer on Wednesday, Nov. 19, and Thursday, Nov. 20. Tune in Wednesday morning for an exclusive early reveal of the Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year winners, followed by a behind-the-scenes look at Country Music’s Biggest Night™ with this year’s CMA Awards host, Lainey Wilson. Spencer will be back the next morning, recapping the night as well as highlighting the biggest moments and CMA Award winners.

“ON THE RED CARPET LIVE AT THE CMA AWARDS” — WEDNESDAY, NOV. 19 (5:00-8:00 P.M. EST), and Streaming on Hulu and OnTheRedCarpet.com (5:00-8:00 P.M. EST)
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, “On The Red Carpet” will feature live pre-show coverage of this year’s CMA Awards outside of Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Streaming on Hulu and OnTheRedCarpet.com, beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST, ABC7/WABC-TV New York’s Joelle Gargiulo, ABC7/WLS-TV Chicago’s Ryan Chiaverini and fashion expert Roshumba Williams report from the red carpet giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at this year’s awards — just moments before showtime — as well as interviews with many of this year’s CMA Awards nominees and hottest stars.
