FOX is heading into the New Year with a new medical drama or comedy “Best Medicine” depending on your taste. Josh Charles stars as a doctor who moves to his childhood hometown to be the town’s resident doctor. Synopsis: “Brilliant and brusque renowned surgeon Martin Best leaves his lucrative career in Boston to become the general practitioner in the small seaside village of Port Wenn, Maine. One local teacher, Louisa Gavin questions his harsh demeanor, while Martin quickly gets annoyed by the antics of its town locals, all while hiding his debilitating aversion to blood.”

“Best Medicine” is your standard fish-out-of-water where the big city doctor has to adjust to living in a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business and the doctor is privy to all of them. Dr. Best has a secret of his own and is slowly opening up to the town residents. It’s a different role for Charles who blends in perfectly with Spencer as his loved interest and the wonderful Annie Potts as his Aunt. This show is a must watch.
