Oscar winner Meryl Streep’s,  daughter Mamie Gummer, is engaged to be married. According to reports from People and Us Weekly Magazines, the 26 year old actress is set to marry actor Ben Walker.

Usmagazine.com says Walker asked for Gummer’s hand over the weekend and gave the actress a  custom-made engagement ring.

“He did it on one knee,” Gummer said in a statement to the website. “My mom loves him. We are very happy!”

According to People.com, the engagement ring has “an old-fashioned setting” that is slightly over-sized. Walker is said to be keeping the details of the jeweler who made the ring for his bride-to-be private.

The couple met on the set of a film. Gummer is the second-oldest child of Streep and sculptor Don Gummer.
