Charlie Hunnam to star in ‘Monster: Season 3’ as Ed Gein
Charlie Hunnam is set to star in the next season of “Monster.” Producer Ryan Murphy made the announcement at the premiere of “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.” Season 3 will focus on Ed Gein. Production on the series begins next month.
The first season of “Monsters” starred Evan Peters as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and the second season, which premieres on September 19, on Netflix, follows the Menendez brothers, who killed their parents. Ed Gein was known as the “Butcher of Plainfield.” He famously exhumed the bodies of dead people from local graveyards and made all sorts of items out of the skin and bones of the corpses. He also confessed to killing two women.
Hunnam previously starred in “Sons of Anarchy.”
