PAFF Film Festival is set to take place on in Los Angeles from February 4 through February 17, 2025 at the Culver City Theaters in Culver City. This year’s line-up features 100+ feature length & short films that will excite, enlighten & inspire from around the African Diaspora.

This year’s opening night film is “Magazine Dreams.” The movie’s stars Jonathan Majors is one of the festivals PAFF Ambassadors, Celebrity host and the star of our highly anticipated opening night film, Magazine Dreams. This isn’t Jonathan’s first time at PAFF—he previously received the prestigious Canada Lee Award, presented to him by none other than PAFF co-founder and legendary actor Danny Glover during our 30th anniversary.

“Magazine Dreams,” directed by Elijah Bynum, delves into the life of an aspiring bodybuilder struggling with the pressures of his dreams, identity, and the pursuit of self-worth. Majors delivers a powerhouse performance that has earned widespread acclaim, bringing raw emotion and intensity to a character navigating the complexities of modern life. Bynum masterfully weaves a narrative that is both intimate and universally resonant.

Some of the movies featured at the PAFF Film Festival 2025 include romance movies “Different with Me,” “Kelly,” and “A Westside Love Story”, documentaries “Across the Tracks: A Las Vegas Westside Story” and the WNBA focused doc “Can’t Retire From This.”
