It was the Semi Finals on “The Masked Singer” where the final four, Pearl, Coral, Boogie Woogie, and Mad Scientist gave their last performances before the season finale. The four semi-finalists are ready to battle it out ahead of next week’s blockbuster season finale. The finalists went head-to-head to get one step closer to the golden mask trophy. The winner of each battle will advance to the finale while the bottom two will fight it out in a brutal smackdown for the ages.

Host Nick Cannon and panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Rita Ora and Ken Jeong had the difficult task of deciding who would move on. For the competition, the four left were paired two on two as Pearl and Boogie Woogie went head-to-head for a spot in the finale and then Coral took on Mad Scientist for a chance to advance.

Pearl sang “You Don’t Own Me” and Boogie Woogie sang Maroon 5’s “Maps.” Some of the guesses for Pearl were Ann Wilson, Kasey Musgraves, Natalie Maines from The Chicks, and Martina McBride. The first singer headed to the finale was Pearl which means that Boogie Woogie was left to compete in the Smackdown.

Next up was Coral vs Mad Scientist. Coral sang “What Was I Made For?” while Mad Scientist Monster sang “Tipsy” by Shaboozey. Peyton List, Hailee Steinfeld, Meg Donnelly were some of the guesses the panelists said when trying to guess who Coral was. Some of the guesses for Mad Scientist Monster were Trace Atkins, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Sam Hunt. The top vote getter for the round, heading straight to the finale was Mad Scientist Monster. Coral and Boogie Woogie finally competed to see who would be the last to advance to next week’s finals.

In a twist, the Lucky Duck interrupted the celebrity unmasking and decided to save both of them. He then decided to unmask himself. Lucky Duck turned out to be Oscar winning filmmaker Taika Waititi. Waititi is the husband of panelist Taika Waititi.

Next week all four finalists Pearl, Mad Scientist, Boogie Woogie, and Coral will compete for the Golden Mask Trophy. It’s time for the final four to battle it out for who will be crowned the Season 13 winner of “The Masked Singer.” Rita Ora and the finalists open the show with a showstopping performance of “Pink Pony Club.” This two-hour show includes four singers, Pearl, Boogie Woogie, Coral, and Mad Scientist, and four unmaskings. “The Masked Singer” airs Wednesday, May 7, at 8/7c on FOX.
