Thomas Newman and Julia Newman talk winning award at the BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards
BMI honored acclaimed composer, producer and recording artist Atticus Ross with the BMI Icon Award at the 41st Annual BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards. The Academy Award®, Golden Globe and GRAMMY Award®-winning composer will be receiving this honor for his outstanding body of work across film and television.
The event was hosted by BMI President & CEO Mike O’Neill and BMI Vice President, Creative, Film, TV and Visual Media, Tracy McKnight. Some of the expected attendees include Kathryn Bostic, Sherri Chung, Fil Eisler, Harry Gregson-Williams, Mark Isham, Blake Neely, Christopher Lennertz, Mike Post and Brian Tyler, among others.
The 2025 BMI Film, TV and Visual Media Awards saluted the composers of the previous year’s top-grossing films, top-rated primetime network television series, and highest-ranking cable, video games and streamed media programs.
