The feature-length documentary “Forever We Are Young” by award-winning directors Grace Lee and Patty Ahn will be released in cinemas worldwide by Trafalgar Releasing beginning Wednesday, July 30. The film puts a spotlight on the fandom of BTS – known as ARMY, an acronym for (Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth) currently at 90 million and growing globally. Tickets are available for purchase at BTS Army Movie.

From Seoul to Los Angeles, Texas to Mexico City, BTS ARMY is everywhere. FOREVER WE ARE YOUNG dives into the passionate fandom that catapulted 21st century pop icons BTS into a global household name. We meet fans at a BTS-focused ReactorCon in Lewisville, Texas, a dance instructor in Seoul who teaches BTS choreography, and fans who’ve been organizing since 2013 to help BTS dominate the charts. Defying stereotypes of pop fans as screaming teens, ARMY is an intergenerational, culturally savvy, and socially active movement that is as diverse as the world itself. The film captures the powerful spirit of activism and collectivity that make ARMY a symbol of hope and unity in our ever-fractured world.

The group, Jin, RM, Jimin, Suga, Jungkook, V, and j-hope, have repeatedly said they would not be where they are today if it weren’t for Army.

Fandoms are not new. From Elvis Presley in the 50s, The Beatles in the 60s to Duran Duran in the 80s to BTS today, how people band together has changed with the rise of the social media but the comradery and friendships formed.

The movie is a love letter to the fans that have formed lifelong friendships through the love of BTS music. As one fan interviewed in the movie notes that no matter where she is in the world, she always has a friend in a member of the BTS Army.

For anyone who has ever loved a band and their music, this movie is a must see.
