Frehley started the iconic rock band with members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss and they quickly rose to superstardom thanks to their music, and live performances as their makeup stage characters. Frehley, born Paul Daniel Frehley, was known at the Spaceman in the band. Their “Kiss Alive” album was best seller and gained legions of fans known as The Kiss Army. The band was inducted with the band into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and will become Kennedy Center honorees in December.

Frehley also had a successful solo career, forming his own band, Frehley’s Comet, releasing several solo albums, his last being 2024’s “10,000 Volts.”
