‘The Voice’: Team Niall Horan’s Aiden Ross Wins Season 28 of NBC Reality TV Show
Aiden Ross, a 20-year-old college student from College Station, Texas, was crowned the winner of Season 28 of NBC’s “The Voice.” Ross’ victory marks Coach Niall Horan’s unprecedented third consecutive championship, cementing his undefeated legacy with an exclusive three-peat win. Team Snoop’s Ralph Edwards finished in 2nd place that also saw Niall’s DEK of Hearts, Team Reba’s Aubrey Nicole, Team Bublé’s Max Chambers and Jazz Mckenzie, in the finale.
Rising from a standout Blind Audition, where his emotional take on Adele’s “Love in the Dark” earned an immediate four-chair turn, Ross quickly became one of the season’s most talked-about artists. During the Battle Rounds, he captivated the coaches with a moving performance with teammate Ava Nat of “What a Time” by Julia Michaels and Horan, where his warm tone and effortless vocal control secured him the win.
Ross grew up in the same college town where he now studies engineering at Texas A&M. Now a sophomore, he’s a proud member of HardChord DynaMix, the university’s premier a cappella group, where he sharpened his ear for harmony and flair for performance. Ross’ musical roots run deep. He got his start in school musicals and family sing-alongs, later teaching himself guitar as a teen. Since then, he’s performed everywhere from local festivals to hay-bale stages on his family’s Rockberry Ranch outside San Antonio.
“The Voice: Battle of Champions” returns for Season 29 in February with coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine.
