Mariah Carey Honored As MusiCares 2026 Person of the Year
Mariah Carey was honored as The MusiCares Person of the Year for 2026. A highly anticipated Grammy week event, MusiCares Person of the Year Charity Gala is one of the most successful fundraiser for musicians who need us now more than ever. The event always raises money to support the welfare of musicians. Last year MusiCares raised more than than $15 million to benefit the Los Angeles fire relief efforts following the fires that destroyed several California communities.

Carey made a brief appearance on the Red Carpet where she shared her thoughts on the special night before heading inside to the star studded tribute.

Performers included GRAMMY Award-winning artists Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters with Taylor Momsen, Adam Lambert, Billy Porter, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Laufey, and Jermaine Dupri, along with GRAMMY Award nominees Charlie Puth, Kesha, Maggie Rogers, and Teddy Swims. Notable attendees also included Stevie Wonder, SZA, Kim Burrell, Rita Wilson, Gayle King, Richard Marx, and Babyface.
